Domaine Serge Laloue
Sancerre  . Chavignol

Chronology

The story began in the early 1930s. At the time mixed farming was widely practised. The estate, run by François and Simone Laloue, produced tobacco, grain and wine. They also owned a café in the centre of the village of Thauvenay where they served their wine.

At the end of the summer of 1960, their son, Serge Laloue, returned to the village. The harvest was just about to get underway. He lent a hand and started imagining how to better structure the family vineyards. He decided to stay in Thauvenay and began to expand the estate. Little by little, he bought plots here and there and little by little he began planting vines.

His son, Franck, joined him in 1992, the year in which the estate became a limited company, an important step for the family.

In 1998, Christine joined the team.
